I have been asked a lot recently for natural makeup with the focus on a graphic liner. I think people are so over glam makeup that they want to go back to basics but still have a bit of something special and so the graphic liner works a trick.
The easiest place to put a liner is in the socket line because you have a shape to follow. It looks great in so many colours.
The key is to use products that won’t budge and I really love the Inglot waterproof eyeliner because it goes on wet and gives you time to blend it if you need to or you can let it dry in the shape you’ve drawn on. Pared back, minimal makeup is the best way to showcase this look and we see it on at least one show each season at London Fashion Week, so it has to be a winner. You’ll need a razor sharp angled brush or a slim eyeliner brush. You may want to look at Harry or Stewy from my range, I equally love both. Keep your eye open when applying the liner so you can make sure its visible, symmetrical and doesn’t sink into the crease.
I got to do a colourful graphic liner this weekend on Rita Ora for the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Hull. The styling was amazing, it was 90’s inspired and just reminded me of life 20 years ago. The good old fashioned Reebok Classic Leather trainers will always be my favourite memory of the 90’s!
